Samantha Gutierrez-Arango, B.Sc
Samantha is a graduate of the program in Biomedical Engineering at Tecnologico de Monterrey, Campus Guadalajara (Mexico). She is interested in the adaptation of latest technologies to build sustainable practical solutions to global health problems, and improving healthcare delivery for some of the world's most vulnerable populations.
At MGH Samantha serves as a liaison between surgeons, R&D team, engineers and hospital administration. Managing the logistics for human factors testing of SurgiBox and suggesting detailed design modifications to comply with user needs and FDA regulations.
She has been involved in research for medical device and mobile technologies development, psychological and behavioral studies for Autism Spectrum Disorder population, Overweight children, and low income communities.
In her free time she enjoys playing the flute and hiking snowy mountains.
