Giving to Project SurgiBox:
Thank you for considering a gift to Project SurgiBox that supports our work to make surgery safer for patients and providers alike.
Our friends' and supporters' generosity lights our path to impact.
SurgiBox has made such rapid leaps in development by drawing on complementary resources from its hybrid structure, integrating a nonprofit (Project SurgiBox, a project at MIT D-Lab) as well as corporate arm (SurgiBox Inc, a Massachusetts corporation), together making a social enterprise.
Project SurgiBox is a nonprofit under MIT D-Lab's 501(c)3 umbrella, with donations to it tax-deductible. Funding is used for purposes strictly aligned with the nonprofit mission, specifically:
1. Research that occurs on-site at MIT D-Lab, which since 2011 has been generously hosting our benchtop research and ambitious research pipeline (for example, for MIT research fellows or electronics development)
2. Advocacy (for example, presentations on safe surgery)
3. Education (for example, maker or surgical workshops)
You may donate to Project SurgiBox through the MIT D-Lab fund as long as you designate in the comments "FOR SURGIBOX"
